An everyday tip for me is to get out in the morning and make the first hour of the day mine. I’ll either walk for 3 miles or ride my bike for 12 miles. This gets me the hour of exercise I need on a regular basis. I can listen to music or a couple of Ted Talk’s. On some occasions when I don’t charge my headset enough I just listen to nature. Great time to clear your head and get ready for the day.
@anthony.gentile Great use of two hours a day! I applaud you for the consistency and dedication. It’s not easy.
Also, I can attest that cutting drinking out was one of the best things I could have done for myself. The health benefits and clarity I find to be incredibly astounding. Been almost 7 years for me.
Lemme know how it’s going for you and if I can support in any way, man.
Workout every day. Eat breakfast. Reach out to others when I am stuck or need a quick pick me up.
I block off the calendar so I can go to the gym. That keeps me accountable and I work my day around the commitment. Yoga and spin class is for the weekends. Good mix of cardio and mindfulness.
I have started to learn and do somatics exercises which is a game changer for me.
Get in the sun, workout, eat healthy, listen to music.
Take time to sleep and relax
Swim, eat healthy, stay hydrated, meditate
I exercise daily and walk in the morning as per my scheduled routine. I eat healthily and try to avoid oily food.
Prayer, reflection, reading, focus, sunlight, some exercise [but not jumping to conclusions as a form of exercise]
Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night. Establish a bedtime routine to signal to your body that it’s time to wind down, Fuel your body with balanced meals
exercise, eat well and rest
I cut my drinking back significantly and noticed a tremendous difference in my stress! Good luck on your sober curious journey!
I am a journal-er. I use prompts and vibes to feel out what I am going to write for the day. I recently switched from paper journals to digital (writing on my ipad) because I was getting nervous about losing my journal while on the road. I can also label pages and recall easier when reflecting.
During my last check up I was informed that I was so low in vitamin D that my doctor wrote me a prescription for an increase dose for a few weeks. Since then I have been taking vitamin D3 5,000 IU’s and Dr. Formulated Probiotic with Mood Formula. I have significantly reduced my social media use by removing IG and other SM apps from my phone and relocated them to my ipad.
I love all the tips!
